KRAFTBOMB'S 1st BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!!!!

Kraftbomb's 1st birthday went really well! There was a great turnout and the weather was pretty good apart from a few torrential downpours. City made an enormous cupcake cake to raffle off which went down a hit and I was cleared out of plush party food in an hour!

City and I (Karla) just can't believe it has been a whole year of Kraftbombing madness!!! We are so proud of Kraftbomb and the incredibly unique handcrafts that our vendors create and would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thankyou to all our amazing vendors and all the shoppers that come along every month, Kraftbomb wouldn't be able to continue without all of you!!

Here are a few shots from the day, unfortunately (or fortunately!) I was quite busy and didn't get the time to take very many.

September Kraftbomb - Applications now open!

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the September 2009 Kraftbomb!

for the September application form!

Applications will close Sunday 6th September 2009 and we will be in touch a couple of days after this date. Please don't worry if you haven't heard from us straight away. It sometimes takes us a few days to go through applications and we always email both successful and unsuccessful applicants.

To be fair to those that do apply during this time, we cannot accept any applications after this date and hope you all understand.

We receive so many applications for Kraftbomb and do our best to give everyone a chance to sell and to fit as many people in as possible. Please, please do not be offended or take it personally if you don't get a spot. We simply cannot fit everyone in each time and we find it extremely hard to go through the applications and pick out the successful applicants. We sometimes stand people down for a month to let a new vendor have a spot and we try to be as fair as possible.

We do read through every application, visit each blog and view your photos. If you don't have a blog or Flickr, then please email us through your photos. We've had a few people apply with amazing sounding projects who never sent through photos and didn't get a spot.

We also do our best to pick vendors who are making products that fit into Kraftbomb's quirky style of crafts and will compliment existing vendors products. If you're not sure if your crafts would fit, come along to a Kraftbomb and have a look around and get a feel for the atmosphere. You can pop by and say hello and introduce yourself to Karla (Geek Freeks) or City (NZ Cupcake Queen) too!

We look forward to all your applications and seeing everyone at the next Kraftbomb.

Keep it krafty!

July Kraftbomb - Applications open!

Just a reminder in case you missed the post!

July Kraftbomb applications are now open!

Groove Guide thinks we are the sh#t

Many thanks to the Groove Guide for featuring Kraftbomb!

They picked us as number 2 on their "Shit List" - the "Top 10 Things To Do" for the week 27 May - 2 June.

More press!! Viva again!

We've been so busy with our full time jobs/study, crafting and of course running our baby Kraftbomb, that we haven't been too good at updating our press!

We're stoked that The NZ Herald's Viva on 22/04/09 ran a whole feature on craft! "The Art of Craft" by Zoe Walker was a great showcase of the craft revolution going on in NZ and abroad. The best bit is the lovely ladies Esther and Shelley from our sponsors Toggle were interviewed and there were a few products from both Kraftbomb and Toggle regulars featured in the spread!
